Worship Services

We worship at 11:00 am at 1587 W Exchange Street, Akron, OH 44313. Sunday School is at 9:30 am; however, there is no Sunday School during the summer months of June, July, and August. Our service is blended worship—bringing together traditional and contemporary aspects as we strive to be an inter-generational church. Join us for coffee, lemonade and fellowship each week following Sunday Worship.

We celebrate Holy Communion weekly. We practice open Communion, meaning all are welcome to receive.

Community Outreach

At New Covenant Community Church, we believe in engaging in “hands on” mission outreach. Though we are small in size, we partner with other churches and outreach programs to make a big impact on our community.

Crops grown in our community garden are donated to support Gennesaret, an organization that provides hot meals to those who are food insecure. Join us as we volunteer at Gennesaret on the second Saturday of each month. Gennesaret is located at 419 W. Exchange St, Akron, OH 44302. Learn more about Gennesaret here.

Feed Ohio

We are active in the Feed Ohio program through our association with the Akron Area Interfaith Council. Feed Ohio is a federally funded program to gather non-perishable food to be distributed through local foodbanks across the state. This month-long intensive collaboration between faith-based groups, houses of worship, community service organizations and businesses—regardless of religious affiliation. Learn more about Feed Ohio here.

Holiday Outreach

Christmas Baskets

During the Christmas Season, we fill baskets to be distributed to families in need with the help of  Acme in Montrose and One Family Under Guard.

Trunk or Treat

A community outreach event, Trunk or Treat involves members of the church fill the church parking lot with trunks full of candy for neighborhood trick-or-treat. This is a wonderful way to meet our neighbors.

Hunger Walks

The Akron Area Interfaith Council sponsors four annual fundraisers for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank with walks in Fairlawn, Hudson, Medina & Stark County. The Hunger Walks bring people of diverse faiths and ethnicity together with respect while serving a common cause: lessening food insecurity. Funds raised from the Hunger Walks benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. For more information and to join us in increasing public awareness for the ever increasing poverty and food insecurity within our communities, please visit aaichungerwalk.org

Portage Path Book Fair

Each year, we donate one book to each student at Portage Path CLC. With assistance from Barnes and Noble, each child at the school is able to select a free book as a gift from the church.
