Before considering what we as a congregation can do, consider some of our accomplishments so far:
1. Involvement in the AAIC and its off-shoot AIIA (Akron Interfaith Immigration Advocates). We presently have four dues-paying members of AAIC, and for two years we have been involved in the Immigrant Christmas Party in North Hill and have taken your donations of winter weather clothing to the party.
2. Our yearly participation in the Fairlawn Hunger Walk.. Last year our church donated a record amount to the Foodbank and provided 22 walkers.
Let’s build on those successes, and keep moving forward.
