The issue also includes a look at events various committees are planning for this month. Some of the events, like the hot dog roast, focus on food, family and fellowship. But, the report from the Mission Committee gives some insight into where a bulk of the money for missions is sent.
NCCC is dedicated to giving. Our treasurer projects that by the end of the year, we will have sent a total of more than $20,000 to various organizations. This month’s Minute for Mission article includes links to some of the organizations that we are committed to serving. But, the biggest commitment doesn’t have an email address. NCCC’s book fairs, which put books into the hands of hundreds of Akron students, accounts for the highest percentage of that budget.
