Community Garden

Community Garden

NCCC's community garden is open to neighbors who work with Let's Grow Akron to grow food for themselves and Gennesaret, an organization that provides hot meals to those who are food insecure.

Join us as we volunteer at Gennesaret on the second Saturday of each month.

Christmas Baskets

Christmas Baskets

During the Christmas Season, we fill baskets to be distributed to families in need in Akron, Ohio, with the help of Acme Fresh Markets in Montrose and One Family Under Guard.

Trunk-or-Treat

A community outreach event, Trunk or Treat involves members of the church fill the church parking lot with trunks full of candy for neighborhood trick-or-treat. This is a wonderful way to meet our neighbors.

Two Annual Book Fairs

Annual Book Fairs

Each year, we cover the costs for the book fairs at Portage Path and Anne Case CLC's. With assistance from Barnes and Noble, each child at the schools are able to select a free book as a gift from the church.

Hunger Walks

Hunger Walks

The Akron Area Interfaith Council sponsors four annual fundraisers for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. The Hunger Walks bring people of diverse faiths and ethnicity together with respect while serving a common cause: lessening food insecurity.
