Break the Silence

by | Jun 21, 2020 | Sermons

In light of the events occurring around the country, the theme of our message is based on Mark 9:14-29, which is an account of Jesus healing a young man afflicted with a spirit that prevented him from speaking.  Before we get into the Word join me in singing “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah.”  Here are the lyrics:

Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy pow’rful hand.
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliv’rer, strong Deliv’rer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death and hell’s destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.

Please stay safe and healthy… and may God’s grace, love, and peace bless you in every way.

Blessings,
tom
