Palm Sunday Service

by | Apr 5, 2020 | Sermons

Although I may not feel like it, tomorrow is Palm Sunday . . . and I would like to invite you to worship with us on Sunday morning for our online service.  Our order of worship will be similar to previous Sundays, and we will read from Matthew 21:1-11, followed by a meditation entitled, “Palm Sunday and a City in Turmoil.”  We will also begin our Sunday service with a song — “Seek Ye First” — and I hope that you will join us in singing this selection.  The lyrics are . . .

    Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness;
And all these things shall be added unto you.
Allelu, Alleluia.

   Ask, and it shall be given unto you;

    Seek, and you shall find.
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Allelu, Alleluia
.

Let me again express my gratitude to you for your patience and flexibility with us as we attempt to navigate this difficult time in our lives.  Please stay safe and healthy.  My thoughts and prayers surround you.

Gratefully,
tom

From the Pastor’s Pen – March 2021

…during these 40 days of Lent, we may be wandering through a wilderness and encountering a different set of wild beasts. Invisible viruses are attempting to devour us; the herd of political animosity is growling around us…”

February Newsletter

Lent is not only that time in the church year in which we are summoned to examine ourselves and our everyday preoccupations in order to take stock of the direction of our lives, but it also that time where we are invited to follow Jesus along the journey that took Him to the cross.
